Osmose

These images are the photos of an artistic residence held on the island of Pico under the "Mountain" festival. The residence consisted of the relationship between three artists - an actress, a plastic artist and a filmmaker. Graça Ochoa, Helena Mancelos and Vanessa Fernandes developed a project that consisted of the relationship and the intimate contact with the mountain. Various artistic languages ​​would interbreed (drawing, painting, performance, video, photography) with the aim of creating a final artistic object. Being three artists who express themselves and who use different means to communicate, we potentiate these characteristics creating a final performance.
The works presented recorded our encounter with the mountain, the gestures of the memory of the body on earth - the paths, the journeys, the knowledge, the restlessness ...
In the end, the mountain dreamed in our dreams. We return to who we are and have always been, in our essence, like children. We can be a stone, a flower, a cloud, establishing such a great intimacy with Nature that it will dissolve our bodies and souls in a unity and journey with the cosmos
